Wagon Train

June 16-19 2011

Our ride Was open to any type of horse drawn vehicle as well as to those who chose to ride on horseback.

Our journey began with a meet and greet new members at the Bird Sanctuary in Solon Springs WI We camped at the sanctuary then Fri AM we started our (50+ mile) ride.
Day 1 traveled 15 to 20 miles and set up camp
Day 2 we traveled to a site in Patzau WI Approx. another 20 miles 
Day 3 we were off to A-1 Ranch ( approx. 17 miles) for a farewell dinner which included Dick's famous Garbage Can Feed ( prepared by Mary Sherry and Dave) and a bonfire  

On friday and Sat nights we were met by a trailer carrying what you couldn't carry on horseback and also carried water and Hay for horses.This years ride traveled the same route  as last year.
This was a rain or shine event and we had no shortage of rain. See photos below to view our ride.


Cost for this years ride was 20.00 per person to cover costs of Bird sanctuary, food and transportation.
Children under 12 were, as always,  free.
